The GrimmSpeed bypass valves have been a popular item among customers due to their superior quality. However, keeping them in stock has been a challenge due to the complex assembly process, leading to frustration among customers. To address this issue, our team has worked tirelessly to revamp the BPV, streamlining the assembly process and enhancing its performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Highlights

We created valve body and base for each fitment using billet 6061 aluminum alloy, then anodized them in black or red to match our other products, providing resistance against corrosion and adding a shiny look. The second generation of our bypass valves is equipped with a 38mm diameter aluminum piston to quickly release pressure. This is a crucial feature for effective operations of a forced-induction platform, as it maintains leak-free functions. Our valves also have buna-n o-rings that provide resistance against abrasion and any possible intake system fluids. We added a swivel fitting that allows for smooth installation and accommodates custom setups.

CHANGES MADE IN THE V2 BPV:

The new design eliminated the inspection port that was initially used for quality control. Moreover, we redesigned the internal piston to avoid any potential failure points that we identified in our v1 design. After conducting further testing and development, we also adjusted the tension of the internal spring to better suit the operating environments. In addition, we improved the design of the main body to achieve a better CNC milling finish. Furthermore, we replaced the internal brass piston from v1 with a lighter weight hard aluminum piston to enhance the valve response. Quick specs include CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, a corrosion-resistant anodized finish, and are available in both red and black colors. An oversized 38mm anodized aluminum piston enables superior flow, and a swivel air fitting facilitates installation and custom setups. The product requires no tuning or adjustment.
