The Clutch Masters Factory Fit FX400 6-Puck Series Twin Discs kit for the 2021+ BMW G80 M3 and G82 M4 with the amazing S58 engine and a 6-Speed manual transmission was developed to bridge the gap between replacing the comfortable driving twin disc that came in these cars from the factory and one of our more race orientated 725, 850 or 1000 Series twin disc kits. As OE auto manufactures continue to push for more and more power, they are typically equipping those cars lucky enough to be outfitted with a manual transmission with a twin disc clutch. But what happens when the factory clutch starts to wear out or slip because you've modified and tuned the car? Lots of owners of these higher end powerful cars still want to maintain a car that is easy to drive on the street, yet still be able to reliably take the abuse they inevitably want to throw at it. Most aren't looking to go full race car and install a twin disc designed for such use, there has to be a compromise.

Our answer to these dilemmas is our Factory Fit FX Series Twin Disc Clutch Kits. Using components similar to what came in the car from the factory, our engineering team does everything they can to expand and improve upon the OE twin disc in many ways. Using higher end friction materials, lighter materials and our expertise in developing performance clutch kits for over 45 years, we dial in a twin disc kit that bridges the gap between full race car and luxury daily driver making serious horsepower. In the case of the BMW G8X twin disc, we have done away with the factory self-adjusting cover, a little over 10lbs of weight reduction in the entire assembly, and we have gone from an 8.5" disc to a 9.5" disc for significantly more disc surface area. 

The Clutch Masters FX Series Twin Disc kits utilize our proven friction materials found in our FX Series Single Disc Clutch kits and are available in several different configurations to suit you and your cars needs.

The Factory Fit FX400 Series Twin disc will come as a complete replacement kit utilizing a lightweight aluminum Type 3 hard anodized flywheel, steel floater, factory style stamped steel cover, two DLX 6-Puck clutch discs utilizing our ceramic friction material, throw out bearing, and clutch fork.

This clutch is designed for someone who is going to spend many weekends at the track who is making considerable amounts of power over the stock setup but still may also want to use their car on the street from time to time. The FX400/HDC6 (6-Puck) ceramic paddle design creates a quick and rapid engagement as well as clutch chatter that may not be ideal for street driven vehicles. *Warning* Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design, the FX400 6-Puck disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, we only use premium ceramic friction material.

**Ceramic based clutch disc are not intended to increase the life expectancy of a clutch but rather to increase the holding capacity and improve the durability of the clutch. Using a ceramic based material for easy street driving may reduce the life of the clutch kit due to harsh engagement and higher tendency to slip the clutch kit. Ceramic disc are never recommended for stock or near stock vehicle applications.**

** It is highly recommended to eliminate the factory clutch delay valve. Not only will removing this piece improve the cars ability to shift quicker more efficiently, it will also help improve the lifespan of your new clutch **
