mountune’s extensive knowledge of the Ford EcoBoost engine coupled with broad motorsport experience provides the foundation for our Premium High Performance MRX 1.6L Ford EcoBoost long block. Each long block is skillfully assembled using a brand new Ford ST engine block that has been precision machined to accept a Cylinder Support System. The Cylinder Support System is a proven method of strengthening open deck engine blocks while maintaining OEM integrity. It prevents cylinder cracking, walking, and bell mouthing. The support ring is made from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum.

mountune Forged Pistons, Forged Connecting Rods, bearings and a genuine new Ford crankshaft are installed all balanced to motorsport standards. This long block is the perfect foundation for your Fiesta ST for high boost applications including track day use. We take the guess work out of critical engine assembly allowing you to install your existing base engine components to this premium improved foundation. Tested at over 400hp, this engine specification is designed for typical track day use and those running high power levels with supporting modifications.

Long Block Features
The genuine Fiesta ST engine block is first inspected and then de-burred. The Cylinder Support System is then installed using precision CNC machining. Once the Cylinder Support is installed, we machine the engine block deck to ensure a smooth flat surface allowing perfect head gasket sealing. The bores are honed to perfection to receive mountune Forged Pistons. Every rotating assembly is balanced to within .5 gram. We also include our oil control baffle to ensure uninterrupted oil to vital engine components.

The select parts are professionally assembled by one of mountune's skilled engine builders. Each assembly includes a detailed data sheet showing all critical engine dimensions and a mountune serial number.

We then install one of our MRX cylinder heads using ARP Head studs to ensure maximum sealing between the block and head. Camshaft timing is set and all cam drive components are installed and set to correct specifications.

Cylinder Head Features
The mountune MRX Cylinder head upgrade for the 1.6L EcoBoost (Fiesta ST) features dyno and flow bench tested improvements that produce maximum reliable power across a wide RPM range. Each cylinder head is based on a new genuine Ford ST casting that is inspected before receiving a precision NEWEN valve seat profile. The throat of each port is opened up to remove obstructions and then blended into the valve seat to improve flow.
Each head is then ultrasonically cleaned before assembly by one of our motorsport professionals using Supertech High Performance Valves along with upgraded valves springs matched to our V2 camshafts. This head is ideal for those running a larger than stock turbocharger.
