AMS Performance Infiniti Q50/Q60 VR30 Red Alpha High Pressure Fuel Sensor
Part #: amsALP.28.07.0010-1
The OEM fuel pressure sensor on the VR30 engine found in the Infiniti Q50 and Q60 vehicles is a common failure point for many in the enthusiast community, which is why we knew we had to come up with a solution for our customers. The AMS Performance Infiniti Q50 / Q60 VR30 Red Alpha High Pressure Fuel Sensor is designed and validated similar to the OEM sensor found in your stock Nissan VR30 engine, however, its improved design allows it to better withstand pressure fluctuations and outlast the stock sensor, especially on modified VR30 engines. It’s such an improvement, in our testing we’ve seen customers go from near weekly OEM sensor failures to zero failures with the Red Alpha High Pressure Fuel Sensor.
The factory fuel pressure sensor has two points of failure – the sensor internals themselves, and the harness connector. The most common is the sensor internals which we believe to fail from large fluctuations of high pressure within the fuel system. These fluctuations are more common on VR30 cars with upgraded fuel systems, especially when running e85, and the Red Alpha sensor’s more robust construction helps prevent failures. The connector issue however can happen to any vehicle at any level of modification, as the pins within the connector dislodge due to normal engine vibration. The Red Alpha High Pressure Fuel sensor rectifies this issue as well by featuring a new connector with adapter harness included.
