SPRINGVILLE, NY [May 15, 2024] – Toyota 2JZ race engine builders incorporating a dry sump oil system have a new Fluidampr performance damper option. Released part number 840821 features a hard coat anodized aluminum pulley with mandrel mount. Common drive installation provisions include three pre-drilled 3/8-16 holes on a 3.200” bolt circle.

“Dan Burkett from RAD Industries, and pro driver in Formula Drift, approached us to make a solution for the popular 2JZ platform to allow them to run an external accessory drive off the crank damper. We were able to accommodate this request because we made the damper a modular design in 2020. That change allowed for the aluminum pulley to be removable,” comments Fluidampr project lead, Nick Orefice.

The 5-7/8” size 2JZ Dry Sump Pulley is available separate for 2020-later Fluidampr p/n 840801 with removable pulley. Part number 570819.
