Titanium retainers serve to reduce the reciprocating mass that the valve spring must control at higher rpms, resulting in improved valvetrain stability and horsepower. All Skunk2 titanium retainers are precision CNC machined from aircraft grade 6AL4V titanium for the ultimate in precision and durability.
